Opinion:

Swedish death thrashers Impious don't cover any new ground here on this their latest album, but what they do they have down to an art. If you are looking for kick ass brutal Swedish death metal in the traditional At The Gates style you need look no further.

The production on this disc sounds great, no complaints in that department.

I swear they are channeling Rob Halford for some back up vocals on track three. Very high and piercing, not what you would expect from this style of metal; nice touch.

The music is fast, the vocals are harsh, and the whole thing is relentless. I feel bruised just thinking about what it must be like to see these guys play live. I'm getting too old for that sort of punishment, but I can still appreciate killer metal when I hear it. I hope I have this CD handy next time I'm seriously pissed off.
